We’re winning, stop hacking plz

Our case is going quite well as most of you have noticed. In the light of that it feels very bad that people are hacking web sites which actually puts us in a worse light than we need to be in. I just got back home and read on blogs that ifpi.se was hacked and the rumour on IRC now is that something is going on with ifpi.org and (my old domain) ifpi.com. If anyone involved in the acts going on is reading this – please stop, for our sake. We don’t need that kind of support.

The internets is having a fever and this might be a way to get cooled down. But I hope it’s over now and that we can go back to winning our case without taking these measures. The hacking can only reflect on us badly and if you want to help us, please stop with the attacks.

Bra gjort? Vid vilket tillfälle skulle det vara bra?

#5 Stoffe on 19.02.09 at 02:43

This makes me a Saaaaad Panda. Just as all the insults does – really, people are making fun of someone’s PRONOUNCIATION? What is this, 3rd grade? Shit…

#8 Fredde on 19.02.09 at 08:27

#9 EnRIz on 19.02.09 at 09:28

#10 .John on 19.02.09 at 09:49

#12 JenA99 on 19.02.09 at 10:05

Sluta hacka!

#13 Daniel on 19.02.09 at 11:01

#14 Mikael B on 19.02.09 at 11:08

#15 JohnnyC on 19.02.09 at 11:10

#16 Aliide on 19.02.09 at 12:53

Dear friends,

Little fools:) Don’t you see? The whole attack may have been done NOT by The Pirate Bay supporters but exactly the opposite.

I mean by some enemy hackers (sent by IFPI themselves?) who wanted to be seen as supporters but in fact who knew very well how negative the outcome will be for The Pirate Bay. No sane pro Pirate Bay hacker would do this.

I wouldnt be surprised if behind the whole attack is the IFPI or MPAA themselves. As they have done some illegal hackers attacks on The Pirate Bay in the past anyway.

As I said the attack DOESN’T mean it was done by any Pirate Bay supporter. Actually the facts suggest the opposite as IFPI is the one who wants Pirate Bay to lokk bad especially now.

Take care.

PS. You can also try to google translate this post.

Honeoxhaahketa youre absolutely right! It has been proven that if you can´t win a case on your own, it´s very efficient to plant an attack by yourself and blame the opposite side. The only good weapon against it is that we who study history knows that this is very common behaviour even from governments so why not IFPI? ;)

#37 kenny_lex on 19.02.09 at 21:36

Its like Lafayette’s plea to french people after 1789, to stop violence.

they liked him ( he is the lead of the group who worked on and wrote declaration of the rights of man ), respected him, but they were SO fed up with aristocracy and what they lived in their hands that noone heeded the pleas to stop violence against aristocrats.

its something like that. 3% of the population is trying to suppress 97% of the population like those times. 3% is the corporations and the i.p. industry, and 97%, the people, like the last time.

i dont need to remind you what happened after 1792.

Enda chansen. Media vinklar ju mot fildelning hela tiden.

The best impact that TPB can have for future generations is to win this case in the law courts, win it fairly and to be seen to do so.

Hacking and intimidating the plaintiffs can only do harm. If this goes on and TPB wins despite the hackers, this behaviour can destroy the legitimacy of the win in the eyes of the public.

Respect the TPB’s wishes and allow the court to decide. Don’t leave the verdict open to doubt.

Thx, for a great blog. Only blog worth reading accept “the close ones”.
Im sorry about the hacking. I completly agree in the matters, that it does more harm than good.
Its all about marketing, i saw that one former poster said i could be a trick from opposite side wich is true, but could they think that far?

I think this comes from anger and frustration, like i dont even know what to do to help, i guess someone figure out the most sad way to express what we all feel.

I really hope you win, i dont see why you wouldnt.
But it still makes myself wonder, not that im a big dl.er myself but i know if i were around from the start i would be really interested to jump on.

Well hope the media gives you some rest soon, guess they wont but we can always hope.

Best wishes

Sure this has been brought up already but if the prosecution’s clients believe you have made enough cash to pay their damages/losses by distributing their content for free then why are they not already distributing their own content for free in exactly the same way?

Surely, certainly, indisputably, incontrovertibly there would be an ‘official’ pirate bay by now instead of a law suit. How to compete with a site that offers content for free? Offer content for free, surely? (certainly etc)…

Clearly (according to the prosecution’s supporters) that form of delivery provides equal or greater revenue than their current forms of distribution.

So they must just have never thought of it, even while drawing up the legal paperwork for this trial.

Unless of course someone’s telling porkies…..

#80 Worried on 20.02.09 at 12:07

So by writing this you are admitting (?) that hackers are attacking sites on your name? Why? I mean why do you even consider that hackers attack any “IFPI” site to support your case? Why do you let other people make this connection? I would expect that even if hackers did so (attack on behalf of you) to deny it. Unless you have been prior contacted from them and they let you know about their plans, so you are kind of cooperating with them – and that is also bad to admit.

I would expect that hackers have their own agenta. If they feel like they need to attack IFPI (or any other site owner), they can do so on whatever reason they like – real or not. Trying to make them stop using your case as their reason, is a mute point really … unless you are in cooperation with them. You are, with this post, sadly giving weapons to IFPI to press more on the idea that you have connections within the hackers’ community that attack their site and you can even control them. So what would happen if you were loosing? Would you just let the hackers loose? IMO real bad post. Doesn’t really help your cause and make you look more involved to these attacks than you would like!

Best of luck to your case, which I feel is righteous, but be more careful at what your posts might allow people to think about you and they ways you choose to fight for your cause.

#118 MrW on 24.02.09 at 23:57

IFPI is funny and hypocratic. They are talking about that they want be payed for their work.

But they use Apache webserver on their web, which is free software under GPL.

#120 Mr. NO on 25.02.09 at 12:11

If they manage to shut piratebay down for helping to share copyright material, will they go after the ISP companies after that, for doing the verry same as well?
Life will become rather boring without internet.

Apache doesn’t use the GPL.

#123 Hederlig on 25.02.09 at 22:52

Mr Dennis Nilsson,

you don’t work for money? You don’t work? Are you a volontaire?

What is your point? Free software is meant to be free, and used.

#124 jösta on 01.03.09 at 09:08
