Bel video/Nice vid!
Greets from italy
nice one
Hi all, I’m Italian and I’ve found something amazing: here at the Università di Bologna (University of Bologna) TPB works as always. That’s because some awesome guy chose OpenDNS.
This makes my office a small, free enclave inside the disgusting, narrow-minded Italian system. (Luckily I’ll move to London next month for my PhD!).
As an italian, moreover, I’d like to let non-Italians know something that shows how this decision is impossibly idiotic. Mr. Berlusconi, Italian tycoon and media emperor, owns private TV-group Mediaset, which is threatening YOU TUBE with legal actions because the site obviously hosts tons of videos from their programs.
Mr. Berlusconi, on the other hand, praises himself for fighting against “Communist judges and (in particular) public prosecutors, whose aim is to overturn the political establishment”. This results from Berlusconi’s trials for corruption, false accounting and many more (including links with Mafia). Mind you, some of his closest friends and political allies are in the same situation. As a result, it’s now clear the only reason Berlusconi became a politician, 10 years ago, is to make laws that protect him from prosecutors.
To sum up, despite having a bank robber as PM, Italians have to live without TPB. Thanks to my University, though, yesterday I cracked Office 2008 for Mac while playing The Socialist Internationale (although I’m a conservative, but, you know, you can’t vote for the Right in Italy or you’d help Berlusconi & co. escape their trials).
This said, I’d like to invite all the Italians to check whether their University turned to OpenDNS or not.
Long live the Pirates!
yes,
first they send the dogs after you
then they ll send the pigs
sons of bitches
[...] tutte, per non cadere in errori grossolani come quelli commessi finora. Sarebbe proprio ora. Lo ha notato anche lo staff di The Pirate [...]
Seems the world is truely going mad in places, but it’s also waking up in a big way thanks to the internet, places like this and TPB etc.
Long live free thinkers and people with no fear of the establishment!
I know this guy, Claudio ‘ByoBlu’ Messora. I had the chance to exchange ideas and opinions about Italian politics, he’s very smart and is also an excellent communicator.
Maybe I’ll make a video documentary together with him in the near future, hope to find the time. ^_^
Måste bara få länka till en annan väldigt rolig sak jag hittade på svt:

Värt att se
Hello Peter,
I am glad to inform you that since yesterday many Italian providers have modified their DNS to restore the correct routing to thepiratebay.org and http://www.thepiratebay.org. Also Telecom Italia restored the correct IP, and it’s important because Telecom Italia is the company with the largest number of customers (if I’m not wrong more than 65% ADSL customers in Italy).
It seems that after the “turmoil” caused by the attempted hijacking perpetrated by Fastweb, H3G and pro-music (apparently authorized by Italian police “Guardia di Finanza”, but this information must be officially confirmed), something important is going to happen. All major Italian newspapers have reported the hijacking and rumours are that Guardia di Finanza is going to make an official statement in the near future. If it’s true, as it appears from the official documents, that the italian judge “never and nowhere” authorized an hijacking, the position of Fastweb, H3G and the officers of Guardia di Finanza who authorized the hijacking might become difficult in the near future.
Kind regards!
Greetings from Italy,
Paolo
@all Italian:
watch out, FIMI seem want to denounce all those who accuse the industry of misconduct.
Here the full text from Longo’s blog:

Translated:
The accusation of an alleged activities of collecting personal data through a site where users are redirected Italian pirate bay is a big *nonsense* that does not take into account the fact that there is facing criminal proceedings followed by the police and the judiciary with measures issued by the judiciary and the judicial police that do not allow any initiative by individuals and that, although involved at the technical level, are under the control of authorities that are following the investigation against holders Site Swedish.
The accusations industry are therefore devoid of any foundation and will lead only to complaints for slander and defamation against those who are instrumental in trying to create art to a case that move the attention from the fact that principal is the subject of ‘ legal action brought by the public prosecutor of Bergamo: the illegal activity and the resulting block Pirate Bay for breach of rules on copyright.
I must insert a correction about my previous post dated 22/08/08. Telecom Italia has 14 DNS: 8 of them do not “block” The Pirate Bay, but 6 of them still do.
Kind regards.
ITALY AND FRANCE NO STOP THE P2P!
ITALY AND FRANCE (AND ALL STATES THAT BLOCK P2P) IS FASCIST!
